What is the Ref-Faker?
If you are using Google Analytics on your website, it is recommended to exclude your own visits from your reports. Ref-Faker is an easy way to do it.
By using the Ref-Faker all visits will be connected to a specific referrer. You can simply create a filter that will exclude all these visits from your reports.
How to use the Ref-Faker?
1. Type in the URL you want to visit into the form. You will be directed to the website of your choice immediately and you can use it without any drawbacks as usual. Just remember to go via the Ref-Faker again if you want to visit the website another time.
2. In your Google Analytics reports the visits via the Ref-Faker are shown as a referrer called reffaker.de.

3. If you want to exclude your own visits from the reports, go to the Google Analytics profile-settings and set a new filter which is exluding the referrer reffaker.de.
